The Practice Programs For Work Connect

A Nova Scotia Movement Company

A space for strength, calm and resilience is taking shape.

Zenotal Studio is developing an offline-first approach to intelligent movement—bringing progressive resistance, body awareness and recovery into one connected practice for how people move, work and live.

Physical studio planned for Halifax Regional Municipality·Pre-launch development

Strength that makes room for life.

Why Zenotal

A different kind of movement culture.

Zenotal is creating a space where challenge and care belong together. Movement is not treated as a separate hour away from life, but as a practice that helps people build capacity for it.

Progressive resistance develops physical strength. Body awareness brings greater clarity to how we move. Recovery helps effort become sustainable. Together, they form one connected practice that can grow with changing bodies, responsibilities, seasons and stages of life.

There is room to begin, room to learn and room to progress—without performing for the room, keeping up with someone else or adopting a particular fitness identity.

The studio will be the physical and community heart of Zenotal. Workplace programs and digital support will extend the same principles into the places life actually happens.

The Practice

Built around outcomes, not disciplines.

Zenotal draws from several disciplines, but it is organized around three capacities that support the whole of life.

i.

Build Strength

Slow, controlled and progressive resistance designed to build confidence, balance and long-term capacity.

ii.

Move with Awareness

Breath, alignment and practical body literacy integrated into movement—not added as an abstract exercise.

iii.

Recover Well

Restorative practice and intentional downshifting that support consistent training, steadier energy and sustainable participation.

What the practice draws on

No single discipline owns an outcome. Strength can train attention. Yoga can build capacity. Recovery helps both endure. The integration is the method—and it leaves room to grow.

Calm, but not passive. Strong, but not aggressive. Slow, but not easy.

Programs

Classes are where it starts—not where it ends.

Zenotal is being designed as a pathway rather than a collection of disconnected sessions—a structured progression from body to feeling to mind to everyday life, so what you learn in the studio shows up on an ordinary Tuesday.

01Open Practice

Regular sessions in slow strength, alignment yoga and restorative practice that you can simply show up to—a clear way in, with a modification for every movement. The final mix and formats will be shaped through local pilots.

02Structured Programs

Time-bound series with a beginning, a sequence and a next step. A foundations cohort for people who want to get stronger without rushing, forcing or burning out. Seasonal series for keeping body and mood steady through an Atlantic winter. Designed and refined over years of delivery to individuals and teams internationally.

03Workshops & Collaborations

Deeper learning with Zenotal teachers, visiting educators and local partners—themed intensives, immersions and continuing education for practitioners and coaches.

Zenotal for Work

Steadier people make stronger organizations.

At Zenotal, we believe personal growth and team development are lifelong journeys. We create a safe environment where individuals and organizations can take on that journey with courage—exploring new perspectives, experiencing rich emotions and embracing new ideas.

For organizations, this will take the form of workshops, retreats and coaching—supporting personal growth, cross-cultural understanding and leadership in interpersonal relationships. Programs will be developed selectively for teams in Nova Scotia and beyond.

Connect

Be part of the beginning.

Zenotal is still taking shape, and the earliest conversations matter. If you might one day practise with us, teach or coach alongside us, partner with us in the community, or bring a steadier way of working to your team, we would be glad to hear from you.

We believe strength should make room for life, and that a studio is built out of listening long before it is built out of walls. You can reach us at joe.peng@zenotal.com.
